Abstract

|
A case of Pemphigus Vegetans was observed in this clinic.
Pemphigus Vegetans is a rare type of Pemphigus that is characterized by fungoid vegetation. The areas frequently affected are the axilla and groins, genitalia and perineum, the extremities and scalp, and occasionally neck.
In this presented case of Pemphigus Vegetans, the onset was during the post partum care. The blood, examination had eosinophilia.
Histopathologically, acanthosis, elongation of the rate ridge and papillomatosis was seen with abscess filled with eosinophils in malphigii lager.
There were also massive infiltration of the eosinophils in the dermis.
The patient was treated by prednisolon orally and antibiotic ointment topically, and
the response was fair after one month care.
